Happy Easter

Christ Has Risen

This is in a bit of a hurry but I want to wish everyone Happy Easter.

Yes, if that’s confusing this is Easter, of course, according to the calender of the Orthodox Church here in Bulgaria.

If all goes well I should be in Cairo when this blog is posted. Not much Bulgarian or Easter like about this?

Maybe not but it will be my first Bulgarian foreign package tour. So far all seems well but I already have the idea that the tour guide might give us all the information in Russian. I gather most of the others on our trip will be Russian and French. Maybe something to say when I get back.

And it’s Easter in Egypt for the Coptic Christians too it seems.

Painting eggs is a great thing here and Alexander and his mother look forward to this every year. I think Alexander chose the colour and the text reads “Christ is Risen”.

I’ve posted the picture a little early on the photo gallery so that you can send it as a card if you like.
